Once there was a boy…and a girl,
I suppose she might be equally as important, might'nt she? Well, actually, there
were two boys, and two girls…actually three girls…geeze, you would think I would learn my own characters…seeing
as I’m one! Non-the-less, this may prove a bit rambling, we shall see…! Well, at any rate, the two boys, both, well, almost the same age. One is a few months younger. The elder has blonde hair and
can be a bit of a brat, shall we call him…Peter? The other, the younger,
is a brunette and is commonly very sweet; shall we call him…Colin? Yes,
we shall! As for the girls, now that is
a good question, well, lets start with the two the story revolves around! The
first, the elder of the two, is a dirty blonde (multiple meanings there) and a rather…cruel, for lack of a better word. The younger is a copper-brunette and very timid and shy, and currently withdrawn. The blonde we shall call…April. The
latter we will call, Jenny. The third girl is I.
Yes, me, I am in the story, but briefly, mainly as the narrator, but I, suppose, a bit as an advice columnist and Colin’s
sister, hopefully it was all good advice! *fingers crossed*
So, plot of the story? Well, lets be frank…no wait, I’m “Julie”,
too bad. Being frank, again, the plot is essentially this: Colin likes April,
who likes Peter and Colin, but doesn’t really like either boy; she’s
just using them both as play things. Jenny likes Peter and Colin as well, but,
one hopes she has enough sense to leave Peter to plans of his own design without her help.
As for continuing, we shall, so basically, we’re squishing this into a short story, but I warn you, it took place
over several months, not just on-several days as it is about to appear. So, April
and Peter are going steady for about a year and a half and Colin, the dear, finds with-in himself that he likes April. April decides, she is allowed to lead him on, because, well, he likes her, and she
is enjoying attention from two men! Jenny, poor thing, is lost between the two
gentlemen. What are we to do? Well…just
watch:
So, Jenny starts flirting
with Peter, who flirts back. Then April and Colin are flirting, it sounds like
we will have two new couples, how lovely and adorable…but sickening! But
I, as friends of Jenny and April, see what April is doing. I, as his sister,
am desperate to inform Colin of this fact; however, wishing to keep my life, I
too, keep my mouth shut! Continuing…eventually, one day, Colin discovers,
on his own, that he is being played by April *Julie sings the Hallelujah Chorus*, and he decides to move on! Jenny upon seeing that Peter has no interest in her moves on as well!
Now who does my dear brother and my best friend move on to? Well, each
other, certainly!
They make a wonderful
couple; they match tempers, thought processes, and intelligence well. Matching
is a wonderful thing, when it works and in this case, it works! For his sake
(and hers) I am glad he moved away from April! This is my story and the finality
of it all!
